🔮 OpenAI to launch GPT-4 successor ‘Orion’ by Dec
OpenAI is preparing to launch its next model, which is expected to be much better than the current version. According to a report from The Verge, the new model will be called "Orion" and will be available starting in December.
Here’s everything you need to know:
An OpenAI executive hinted that Orion could be 100x more powerful than GPT-4, advancing toward artificial general intelligence (AGI).
GPT-5 may not be its official name.
Orion will first be available to partner companies for their own product developments, not on ChatGPT.
Microsoft will access Orion via Azure by November.
This perfectly aligns with Sam Altman’s cryptic post, saying he's “excited for the winter constellations to rise soon.” ChatGPT-01-preview suggests he's hinting at Orion, the prominent winter constellation.
🎵 Google's AI music generation tools just got a lot better
Google has revamped its AI music creation tools with new advanced features that simplify the process of generating professional-quality tracks.
What's the update?
MusicFX DJ:
MusicFX DJ, created in collaboration with multi-GRAMMY winner Jacob Collier, lets users generate music instantly from simple text prompts like specific genres, instruments, or emotions.
Now, it streams music in real time, evolving from an offline-only model, and lets users share, remix, and build on their creations.
Users can also mix different musical elements by adding multiple prompts at various times, similar to how DJs layer tracks.
Music AI Sandbox:
Google has expanded its Music AI Sandbox, a suite of experimental tools for musicians and producers, introducing advanced features like loop generation and a multi-track view for more precise control over compositions.
YouTube's New Experimental AI Tool:
Plus, they are testing "Dream Track" experiment on YouTube, allowing U.S. creators to generate instrumental soundtracks for Shorts simply by typing what they want.
Are they available for use?
MusicFX DJ is open for testing, but only select testers can access the Music AI Sandbox, and Dream Track is currently limited to U.S. creators.
